IMAGES OF SPRING BREAK 2009

Dalton is very creative. He used a bungee cord to hook up his wagon to his bike so he could have a trailer.

We will call this one "this little piggy". Dalton has spent his spring vacation in the mud. His choice not mine. I think he played in the mud just about every day but one-maybe two due to the cold. He has a great start on his redneck tan and the cutest little freckles on his nose. He is at the stage where he says "oh mom stop it!" when I touch them or kiss them. They said this day would come-I just refused to believe it. No more baby, no more toddler, he is defiantly a boy! By age he is little, by size he is not! You can click on the picture to make it bigger to get the full effect of the dirt.

Sorry this is blurry but as you can see Dalton is in motion-jumping off of the dirt mound! He is playing with Erin (from next door..I call her his big sister) and Sabrina (from down the street). Girls like mud and dirt too!!

We also managed to get a play date in this week with a couple of his best buds Zander and Ethan. This was the stillest they were the whole time we were at the park!!

I think this is a video of the kids playing in the dirt and jumping into it. It took so long to download it that I forgot what all was on it.

GREAT DAY TO FISH

No matter what-it is a great day to fish. Denny and Dalton went up to the neighborhood pond yesterday to do "boy stuff" as Dalton put it. But, little does the stinker know that I have been fishing for many many years. Denny caught 13, Dalton caught 3 and when I went up to see how they were doing...I caught 1. They were all bluegill and sunfish but we know there are bigger and better fish in there too. It is a catch and release pond which is a good thing cause I DO NOT CLEAN FISH! Dalton is pretty good at casting out but he has no patience to sit and watch his bobber so he reels it in just about as fast has he cast out. We do not let him bait his own hook...yet.....but are thinking bout having him start doing it. I am soooo not ready for the hooks in the fingers yet. It is bad enough when I hook my own fingers and YES I put my own worms on my hook. I didn't say I liked it but I do it. I will not put a cricket on my hook! No way no how!! blaah!

GREAT DAY FOR A SNAKE...UNLESS YOU ARE THE SNAKE

Well this is our first snake for the year. I would love to say that it would be our last but...I know it will not be our last. Dalton is 4 ft 1 and I chopped about 3 inches off the thing when I beheaded it.

I know it's gross-a snake with no head but as a paranoid mom I was not taking any chances. (my sister said that it was not poisonous)

When we came home from picking Dalton up from school yesterday we could see Wiggles doing something odd. Upon further investigation we could see that it was a snake. poor dog, but she looked like she was having fun with it but I just didn't want it to bite her or anyone else..LIKE MY SIX YEAR OLD! So I got a shovel and beheaded it. Isn't that what the Irish usually do on St.Patricks day?! haha jk

WE HAVE SUCH CRAZY WEATHER!!

This was taken on Monday March 8 2009

This was taken Thursday March 12 2009

This is the second time this year that the ice has weighted down this poor tree. I hope it will recover.

This is part of our property and I thought it made for a pretty picture.

THAT'S MY BOY!

Yea, I think he looks like a circus clown too!

Dalton is a little dare devil and a speed demon!

Denny was aerating (sp) the soil, he had done this once and then spread seed so now he is doing it again in hopes of getting them good down in there. Dalton was running over it to pack it down. They will both do anything to get to play.

Not to worry, this 4 wheeler has a govenor on it so we can control the speed and we also have a remote with a kill switch that stops it instantly if need be. He has outgrown his helmet and we need to get him a new one.

CEREAL ADDICTION

I would like to confess that Dalton and I have a serious cereal addiction. We are addicted to the chocolate flavored Kelloggs Frosted Mini Wheats. There is something about it's wonderful flavor and even when your cereal starts to get a little mushy-when you bite into it there are little chocolate chunks on the inside that make you feel like you have something more than mush. As you might imagine, since cereal is expensive anyway, that this is an expensive cereal and the box is even smaller than the normal boxes and the price is still the same. It appears that Dalton and I go though about 4 of these little boxes a week. I know, I know, but at least it is not potato chips or something that is mega unhealthy. We would make a great commercial for them if anyone has any contacts to Kelloggs. haha

03-07-09 4 WHEELER BEFORE AND AFTER

This is how nice and clean our 4 wheelers started out.

This is what it looked like, and I looked like, at the end of the trip.

This is what a free mud bath looks like up close. Those are not freckles or moles.....that is pure mud!
