DAY TRIP TO HOT SPRINGS

OK, So I am a little behind in my entries. We took a day trip to Hot Springs on Saturday. We were looking to do some of the touristy stuff like putt putt golf etc. Things that Dalton wanted to do. We knew he would not want to tour the bath houses or go into shops so our expectations were that of a 5 year old. Woo hoo it's about time cause this is right up my alley!!!! Hot Springs is only about 70 miles from here but it is like a pig trail getting there so it took about 1 1/2 hours to get there. Our first adventure was putt putt golf. Who doesn't like putt putt?!! The last time we did this with Dalton he was only three and it was so tiring! He was all over the place including climbing on the props and helping other golfers get their balls in the hole. Note the reason it has been 2 years since we have done this. But, this time Dalton was AWESOME! He was scoring 2's and some 3's. We didn't let him cheat either-we are trying to get him to understand there are rules to games that you have to follow and there is an appropriate sportsmanship to have also.

The next thing we did was ride the "Ducks". But it wasn't that easy. We asked Dalton if he wanted to ride one of those, pointing to one of the Ducks as it went by, and he said "no that's ok you guys go ahead." As if we would just leave him sitting there on the sidewalk until we got back!!!! After about 15 minutes of going around and around that he was not old enough to be left alone he said he would ride it and he had a really good time.
Then last but not least we went to an arcade where we played video games and Dalton and I rode the go-carts. In between all of this there was eating and driving around checking out how things have changed over the past 14 years.
